Any budding Children's Authors and/or Illustrators out there?
If you are then I would strongly recommend you come to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrator's (SCBWI) Annual Conference. It is absolutely brilliant - I go every year. It is packed with loads of really useful and interesting speakers, talks and workshops. It gives you the opportunity to talk to publishers and agents in your quest to being published and there is tonnes of skills and knowledge sharing between authors and illustrators at all stages in their careers. The conference spans over the last weekend in November (24 and 25th) and is held at the University in Winchester. You don't have to be a member of SCBWI to attend but if you do come I bet you'll be joining up afterwards! If you are serious about writing or illustrating for children it is a life changing organisation to be a part of. If you'd like to find out more click here: SCBWI Conference
