I visited Rickmansworth Library yesterday to see the Chatterbooks Groups past and present, plus invited guests. It was fantastic! So many readers with great questions and lots of buzzy excitement around books.

What made Rickmansworth memorable is that I experienced three firsts. The writing game was played, with the EATS Vs Jarred Dreams teams as usual but what was amazing was one girl rolled three sixes in a row! It doesn't sound exciting now I've written it down but you'll have to take my word for the electricity in the air it created. The second first was being asked to sign autographs for my dog, Stan. There was a boy there called Stanley who also wanted one! The final first was being given an autograph myself from Tiffany (Y5) for when she becomes famous. Loved that!

Great visit - thanks Melanie and all the staff and for my lovely daffodil bulbs. Can't wait for the yellow trumpets to appear!
