I absolutely love getting orders through the website. I get to personalise the books then send them off knowing that someone will be opening them up and (hopefully) enjoying the story.
I've just done the best one EVER though. It is a present for someone. So if you're reading this Isabel....have you guessed who ordered the book for you yet?!

I know I'm preaching to the converted as you're already on my website, but if you would like a copy of my book please order from the website. Amazon take a huge 60% cut and will be ages in delivery as they don't hold many of my books in stock. Also if you buy from here I can write something special inside for you like....good decision, very wise. On another point entirely..the new and improved banner has arrived: Check it out! I have just found out that one of my readers is currently LISTENING to Jarred Dreams as their kindle has a 'reader' on it. I don't know what that means, but it has made me really excited.
I love the thought of the words being read aloud as that is how I write - I test all my writing out on my kids. I only ever hear the words in my own voice. It is amazing to think the book is out there, in different voices. I love the fact it is being read, it is almost like it is becoming more real. I feel like a proud parent who is letting her baby fly the nest...too soppy? I did wonder. I felt like a rockstar today, with a genuine queue of people waiting for a signed copy of Jarred Dreams. Thank you Crabtree Junior School for making me feel famous!

I have been asked by the very prestigious St Albans Literary Festival to judge the children's short story competition (alongside two other judges). I feel humbled, privileged and very honoured.
