My first ever author visit was to Y6 at Crabtree Junior School. The visit went so well it was what made me decide to go ahead and self-publish my debut novel, Jarred Dreams. Both my daughters attended the school and I used to volunteer there - helping to run the uniform shop. It is an important part of our families' history, so when I was asked to visit again on WBD 2020 of course I said yes! It was a memorable visit, not just because of my connection to the school, but because of the pure excitement levels of the children. Next to a couple of schools in Sheffield that I've visited, it was probably the loudest assembly I have ever presented! Fun, but definitely noisy. How amazing, therefore, to receive this wonderful thank you/apology card in the post from one of the Y4 classes that took part in the assembly. It absolutely made my day.
Thank you Crabtree Juniors for all your wonderful, continued support of my writing career. I wish all those budding creatives the best of luck for the future.
