COMPETITION TIME: Calling All Dancers!

If you're aged between 8 and 11, love to dance and are free on Sunday 19 June then I want to hear from you! I'm looking for dancers to help launch my new book, Call Me Lion which is all about Leo, a boy with Selective Mutism who loves to dance. All abilities are fine - you don't have to be a professional - I just want enthusiasm and a willingness to perform. To enter the competition to be selected as a dancer all you need to do is fill in the form below and complete the sentence: I love to dance because... I'll be picking fifteen of the best responses to come to the launch, learn a disco dance routine and then encourage others to join in. You must be available on Sunday 19 June between 1.45-4.15pm and have parental permission both to take part and be featured in video/photos for promotion. All dancers will receive a free, signed copy of the book. COMPETITION CLOSES ON FRIDAY 10 JUNE AT 12 NOON AND WINNERS WILL BE INFORMED BY EMAIL ON SUNDAY 12 JUNE |

Don't want to be a dancer but still want to come to the launch?
If you'd prefer just to come along to the launch then you'd be very welcome to do so. All you need to do is to click on the link below which will take you to an Eventbrite form. Complete the details and your family ticket will be automatically emailed to you.
The launch is FREE to attend and all are welcome. It's to be held in the Sports Hall at Harpenden Leisure Centre, Leyton Road, Harpenden, AL5 2HU on Sunday 19 June between 2pm and 4pm. You can arrive at any time and stay as long as you'd like. There's disabled access but for all details about the venue please visit their website: Harpenden Leisure Centre.
I'd encourage you to arrive by public transport if at all possible. Harpenden Train Station is on the Thameslink Line and less than a ten minute walk to the Leisure Centre. Alternatively the 123 bus route comes straight through the centre of Harpenden. If you do need to drive then there's a large car park for the Leisure Centre on Leyton Road.
The launch will include a free dance lesson/performance, a reading and the opportunity to buy personalised books. NB: Refreshments are not included.
